Stafflin are hiring on behalf of Derry City & Strabane District Council for a Mechanic ,

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light or Heavy Goods Vehicle) or equivalent.

Or

• Completed certified training with an accredited recognised supplier in HGV vehicle safety and roadworthiness inspection techniques in accordance with Operator's Licence requirements.

• Possession of a current category 'C' driving licence

Experience :

In addition, all applicants must possess:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in vehicle repair within a commercial workshop.

Experience must include the following:

• Preparing vehicles for annual Vehicle Certificate Inspections

• Repair of petrol and diesel engines

Experience of Hydraulic electric and pneumatic systems
